Classic Cupboards™ kitchen cabinet painting Hilliard, Ohio
Cabinet painting.
It’s what we do.
In all honesty we developed our Classic Cupboards Paint™ for purely selfish reasons. Before our small family business began painting cabinets, we knew we needed a paint that didn’t chip. No chipping means no problems and happy customers.
So after hundreds of paint formulas and endless process modifications, our innovative Classic Cupboards Paint™ literally sticks to every cabinet surface without pre-sanding or priming and even fills oak grain.
Over the last 20 years we’ve refinished and painted a lot of kitchen cabinets in the local Columbus, Ohio area. Our Classic Cupboards™ 10-Year Warranty is the best in the business.
If you are considering having your cabinets painted, read a little further and see why cabinet painting is just cabinet painting—unless it is Classic Cupboards™ cabinet painting.
Our cabinet paint is different.
• Fills oak grain
• Smooth finish
• Seriously sticks
• Does not chip
• 10-year warranty
Do it right. Do it once.
Our Classic Cupboards™ painted cabinets outlast all other painted finishes, including new factory replacement cabinets, refaced and refinished cabinets. We do it right so you only have to do it once.
When refinishing kitchen cabinets, that first coat of product really needs to stick. We formulated our extremely thick Classic Cupboards Paint™ to stick, and we mean seriously stick to every cabinet surface—including plastic laminate. No pre-sanding, no priming and no chipping!
Classic Cupboards Paint™ 15-layer grain-filling cabinet refinishing
We developed our very own 15-layer, 20-step process of application to create a smooth finish on all types of cabinets, even old, grainy oak cabinets. Our cabinet paint actually fills oak grain and even makes plywood feel as smooth as glass!
Classic Cupboards™ painted kitchen cabinets in Columbus, Ohio outlast all other painted cabinets and are solidly backed by our unmatched 10-Year Warranty—the best guarantee in the industry.
No need to consider expensive cabinet replacement or costly cabinet refacing, because our affordable Classic Cupboards™ cabinet painting makes updating your kitchen a reality.
Other paint is just paint.
• Shows oak grain
• Lousy adhesion
• Easily chips
• Warranty??
Cheap & quick. Chips & drips.
That first coat of product really needs to adhere when painting or refinishing kitchen cabinets. Other cabinet paints, including factory finishes and even primers, don’t stick and they definitely don’t stick to plastic laminate cabinets. Even with pre-sanding and priming, other cabinet paint still has lousy adhesion and ends up chipping, peeling and flaking.
Other paint chips easily and shows wood grain
Unfortunately, when it comes to painting old oak cabinets, other cabinet paint is really thin and thin paint doesn’t fill oak grain. Even grain-filling primer, wood filler, and spackle don’t really fill oak grain, so dated oak cabinets just end up looking like painted, dated oak cabinets.
Other cabinet painting is guaranteed for 2 years or less—even that “lifetime warranty” on new factory finished cabinets excludes the finish.
So why don’t other painted kitchen cabinets, including expensive new replacement cabinets and pricey refaced cabinets come with a 10-year warranty? Simple. They’re not using Classic Cupboards Paint™.

Classic Cupboards™ painted oak cabinets Lancaster, Ohio
During our initial In-home Consultation, this homeowner explained that their stock oak cabinets, although dated, were still in great condition and actually better quality than brand new cabinets. The hefty price tag for cabinet replacement and the downgrade in quality compared to their current oak cabinets made for any easy decision—no costly cabinet replacement.
After considering DIY-painting the oak cabinets himself and ultimately deciding that the length of time the DIY cabinet painting project would take and knowing the grain would still be visible in the end, our client began the search for a local Columbus, Ohio cabinet painter who could fill oak grain.
By the end of our initial design consultation, our clients had a full kitchen remodeling plan and project timeline, so everyone just got to work. Our handy homeowner saved money by doing some of the work himself including rotating the island to center it in the room, and installing under and over cabinet lighting to brighten the space.
We enlisted our trusted service partners for the Cambria™ quartz countertop and new vinyl flooring installations. Our affordable Classic Cupboards™ cabinet painting erased the heavy oak grain cabinets, creating this refreshing and bright kitchen makeover.

So…how much does it cost?
Short answer, your remodeled Columbus, Ohio kitchen, including updating your kitchen cabinets, can cost as much (or as little) as you want. That may sound like a non-answer, but it’s the truth.
Brand new kitchen cabinets come with a hefty price tag and a major household disruption. Other kitchen cabinet updating options seem to involve less upheaval and cost, but between cabinet refacing, resurfacing, refinishing, and kitchen cabinet painting, which one is the best?
Honestly, no one really wants to deal with their kitchen cabinets because the cabinet problem is not only confusing, it’s an expensive decision to make.
In fact, according to the National Kitchen and Bath Association, updating your kitchen cabinets is the single, biggest expense in your kitchen remodel. No wonder nobody wants to deal with it.
